Service Writer:

We are currently looking for an automotive service writer. As an Automotive Center Service Writer, you will serve as the primary point of contact between our customers and our automotive technicians. Your role is critical in delivering a seamless and exceptional customer experience. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks to ensure that vehicles are serviced or repaired efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Interaction: Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, listen to their vehicle concerns, and provide information about available services.

2. Service Recommendations: Evaluate customer vehicle issues, consult with technicians, and recommend appropriate services or repairs.

3. Service Quoting: Provide accurate and transparent service quotes to customers, explaining costs and expected timelines.

4. Scheduling: Schedule appointments for vehicle service, coordinating with customers and technicians to optimize workflow.

5. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, service requests, and vehicle histories.

6. Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and communicate any necessary additional repairs to customers.

7. Communication: Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicles and notify them promptly of any delays or changes to the estimated completion time.

8. Upselling: Identify and recommend additional services or preventive maintenance that may benefit the customer’s vehicle.

9. Payment Processing: Accurately handle customer payments and invoices, ensuring all transactions are processed securely.

10. Customer Satisfaction: Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:

– Previous experience as an Automotive Service Writer or in a related role preferred.
– Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Exceptional customer service and problem-solving abilities.
– Proficiency with computer software and automotive service management systems.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
– Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
